About Us
Our Mission and Vision
At Mujeres Nuevo Comienzo (MNC) A.C., we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for women and their children, offering essential resources such as food, clothing, and shelter. Through discipleship, unconditional love, education, and work skills training, we equip them to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Our vision is to see abused, abandoned and shattered women experience healing and new life through a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ. By helping them discover their value and purpose, we cultivate confidence and equip them to restore and restructure their families, leading to stronger and hope-filled futures.

What We Do
-
Meet their immediate needs: Since 2011, MNC has continued to uplift and support vulnerable families by offering a 13-room facility where they can reside together and receive care.
-
Provide community: Throughout their approximately year-long stay at our facility, families are provided with nurturing care in a communal setting.
-
Bridge healing and healthy paths: We provide discipleship and mentoring through daily devotions, parenting support and counselling.
-
Provide Opportunities: Clients are given the chance to explore various vocational opportunities, such as learning and working as hairdressers, working at the onsite coffee shop, restaurant or bakery, learning to sew and make sausage. These experiences not only help them gain valuable skills but also boost their confidence and prepare them for their next steps.
-
Housing: After their initial stay, families transition into a transitional home for an additional period of time, where they continue to receive support as they reintegrate into society and explore further employment opportunities. Once a woman owns her own property, many families have the privilege of having a house built for them. There are now over twenty houses across the road from our ministry where “graduated” women and their families live.
At MNC, we're excited to be opening new doors for our clients within the community. This December 2025, it was truly heartwarming to see women and children—who have been learning music at the shelter—join together at a Christmas carol concert at the local seniors centre, spreading joy and connection across generations.

Our Team
Since opening our doors in 2011 in rural Baja California, Mexico, we have been a beacon of hope for women and children who have been victims of abuse and trafficking. Our team is dedicated to provide support and resources to individuals as they seek "a nuevo comienzo" (a new start).
